Sunday's Grace Notes

Sunday's Grace Notes
Sleeping 7 1/2 hours straight!  Good golly Miss Molly!  Church is not for perfect people and that is why I miss it so much...   I fit right in,  able to eat an almost full bowl of cereal,  lighting a candle just for me and taking the time to slowly smell the lingering scent before I blow it out, old dogs that carry 1/2 of the "Nature Preserve" back inside with them to share, burning my delicious dinner but there is always tomorrow, "Joel Osteen" ( Mr Smiley) and Nancy Asbell both  smiling too much...  Okay! If they shared the outlook "Choose not to be a victim but a victor" they'd be smiling too.  Come one!  It's good endorphins. I still have legs... and they hurt... and how can I not be praising God...  I still have legs... and they hurt... and, and, I get it.  Bring it on!  Praise God!  I found my marbles.  They were in my chest.  Now I just have a nice calming pur of a cat before he plans his next attack.  Yeah....  I crack myself up.  I have to do something between snacks.  Seriously though, at least I have a beautiful bed to take naps in.  Tomorrow I am going to get my voice back to sing.  Even Panda misses it.

Friday's Grace Notes

Friday's Grace Notes
Having dried paint on my hands while I work on the computer... oh happy day! Transporting one of my shows from downtown to St Johns, it is nice to be fully involved again,  the neighborhood ducks are no longer afraid of me when I roll on by with my chair, if I want more friends then I have to be one,  giving thanks when when thanks is due... and especially when it is not,  finding joy in the ability to pay my JEA (power/water) bill,  the book "Coming Back.  Rebuilding Lives After Crisis and Loss" by Ann Kaiser Stearns.  I wish that I had the brains and talents to have written it myself  and finding the strength to ask for outside help when that may be what is best for me.
And you my friend!

Saturday's Grace Notes

Saturday's Grace Notes
Truly loving others at all times, it can be done... and it feels really good,  a big pork roast w/ cranberry and BBQ sauce and salsa with fresh apples, cranberries and onion,  my sweet familiar bed,  never truly ever being alone,  not putting things off,  the freedom of living in the truth,  and the remote control and the power of turning it off.

Monday's Grace Notes

Monday's Grace Notes
Waking up to blaring classic rock, feeling like doing the wrong thing but choosing to do right, my morning omelet in a cup,  playing on the piano "Take The A Train" at midnight,  bracelets with paint on them, recreating the life that I had before living in a wheelchair,  my parents having me to keep her company and the birth on my husband to produce two beautiful children so "Happy Happy birthday Michele and Glenn!"

Sunday's Grace Notes

Sunday's Grace Notes
Purple pens,  Indie Christmas music on Pandora, three heirloom tomatoes- one yellow, one purple and one red... all good,  lounging on a Sunday morning in my bedroom with my white chair and white Christmas tree w/ blue, white, silver and glass decorations,  A Christmas Carol movie classic w/ George C Scott,  baking eggnog chocolate muffins,  "rolling" to church today,  being able to ship boxes of paintings to my clients straight from my home using direct shipping,  and my awesome sisters.. I am the "baby" who is about to turn fifty...  I hope that they never catch on... it works for me!.

Saturday's Grace Notes

Saturday's Grace Notes
Baking chocolate chip muffins to give away first thing in the morning then teaching voice,  the sappy fresh smell of evergreens,  a pop of red in every room,  Southern Living Magazine,  twisted passion flowers blooming on a holly a holly tree with berries in the middle of December,  Christmas angels, organized messes,  thinking of others and a perfectly ripe banana on my morning cereal.  Oh!  And clicking on spellcheck with now misspellings!

Thursday's Grace Notes

Thursday's Grace Notes
"Anticipate joy"... can't wait!,  my adult art students becoming my friends,  people watching,  lotions and potions,  my daughter in love fixing me quiche,  a fuzzy yellow tennis ball + an old dog = a really good time,  the riser in my power chair so that I can cook and paint large canvases, doctors who call me at 7:00 at night,  magazines at Christmas time, and 'clearing my head'.

Wednesday's Grace Notes

Wednesday's Grace Notes
My Mayo doctors allowing me to go home yesterday and NOT admitting me to the hospital with a severe life threatening cellulitis infection, the same doctors calling me throughout the day and having me email them photo updates, neighbors going to the bank for me,  friends bringing me lunch and dinner,  pain medicine:),  the public library paying off my overdue fines since I can't get there (I kid you not!) and renewing ALL of my 18 overdue  Christmas CD's through Christmas,  having the strength and endorphins to complete four Animal Postcards (due today),  enjoying the crisp crunch of a golden delicious apple while listening to Andy Williams croon...  and I woke up so overwhelmed and in pain and depressed.  What a difference a day makes!

Wednesday's Grace Notes

Wednesday's Grace Notes
Grits and eggs to start the day, ordering online @ kmart.com and having items shipped to me the very same day, trying not to be so hard on myself, more new piano and art students, "celebrating" three years this month of living my life from a powered wheelchair and being alive to enjoy it, choosing joy and... cooler weather!
