Baking chocolate chip muffins to give away first thing in the morning then teaching voice,  the sappy fresh smell of evergreens,  a pop of red in every room,  Southern Living Magazine,  twisted passion flowers blooming on a holly a holly tree with berries in the middle of December,  Christmas angels, organized messes,  thinking of others and a perfectly ripe banana on my morning cereal.  Oh!  And clicking on spellcheck with now misspellings!

"The best is yet to come", waking up to music and reading "The Help" in bed, teaching this morning's voice lesson and looking forward to a one hour art lesson this afternoon, brainstorming with friends to find creative solutions, working with hand and leg weights this morning, and the cooler weather.

A dear friend meeting me for lunch in the rehab center and bringing me a Greek salad from my fave Panera's,wearing my wigs again, nurses and aids living their passion and caring so well for others, itty bitty baby lizards, looking forward to being "normal" and going to Publix and giving my art to fellow "inmates" residents to bring them a little bit of joy.

Being your own best advocate, somebody placing a hot cup of coffee by my bed this morning to wake up to, somebody else (the rehab center) doing my laundry, doing physical therapy even if I don't feel like it and my nurse taking my plant home to her house to try to save it... we can call it Lazarus.

Using the mouse to change the channel on the T.V., taking a nap, tortilla soup, listening to the voice of reason, new magazines to read, having pictures to paint and Sunday morning.

Using my walker to get from my hospital room down to rehab... way to go!, Doing a search for "Jacksonville art teachers" and showing up on the first page, microwave popcorn, air conditioning... amen?, a glimmer of hope opening to horizons of possibilities and nail polish.

Using my rollator walker more, new art/guitar/piano students (yippee!), playing the piano for an hour, learning German music for "Germany Week" here at the rehab center, Steve bringing me microwave popcorn and baby raw carrots, paying my bills online, painting ten 5x7 watercolor notecards last night and HGTV.

Working with home physical therapy, not procrastinating, hummingbirds "playing" with Cardinals, key lime green, spraying  Panda with lavender Hartz spray for dogs... (he thought it was fun "Where's my treat?), reading books on reinventing yourself,  four year old and fifty year old new piano students..and, playing the guitar.
