THURSDAY'S GRACE NOTES.  PLEASE READ!  This is the most important Grace Notes that I have ever written

After falling out of my wheel chair on Monday left with even more wounds and a damaged and wounded left eye I was given the facts of my diagnosis for the rest of my life due to my chronic wounds. I can not go to large populated events ever. My main heart breaker is church. In my powered wheel chair I can go to a large store, like Publix as long as I do not get close to many other people at the time. No body can visit me at my home if they are sick or have a family member that is sick.  I will be losing my house and, my car has been repossessed.  But this is when the weird thing comes in.  I am still "inappropriately happy" and still look forward to the next fun day.  I still have my art , music, and marketing "job" and totally "work" from home.and I still have people (yes even you)  and Jesus will never ever leave my side.  The most "horrible" things that I go through the more I can help others because I have gone through them myself.

So

I no longer celebrate the day I celebrate each minute.

So let's go out there and let's rock our world!

Godaddy has disabled my accounts but was happy to accept their payment last month.  They say that it should be repaired by today or Tuesday...  now how do I make a Grace Note out of this one?  Any ideas?  Enjoying coffee in a huge 44DD cup... size,  LOL!  "I am one of Gods masterpieces...  Masterpiece Theater that is... we all need a drama :)  My doctor and friend called me Friday night, phoned in a new antibiotic for a new chest cold, complimented me on my new paintings, told me that I was working too hard and take it easy on the weekend "pretend that your sick".  I didn't follow directions. Sometimes following my own advice is like swallowing a bitter pill. Why does God insist that I keep having to relearn my lessons.  Maybe He just wants to make sure that I keep showing up in class every day.

All decked out in my painting clothes, fixing a horrible meal for myself and not having to hear "Chef Nancy, you have been chopped"LOL,  finding a pen that works when I need one,  getting my house in order, "Hot In Cleveland" fun show,  talking to myself, Jesus, the dog... and now to mosquitoes "You idiot! Don't you know that it's February?" then I squashed him... I need to get out more,  helping other artists to promote their work... there are plenty of pieces of pie to share, loving people and them loving you back - simple law of physics,  and having an overwhelming amount of fresh fruit in my frig..

Beautiful things - beautiful colors and wearing them, sun dappled shadows across a sidewalk, new growth on a dormant three year orchid, the inside of a freshly sliced green pepper,  watching Thelma And Louise, Steal Magnolias, American Idol and re acquainting myself with American pop culture,  and going down to the Publix pharmacy and coming home with new dogs to paint and new piano students.

Joyce Meyer, Joel Osteen, Kerry Shook.... and Nancy Asbell....  I have to take some responsibility for my walk with God,  a 24 hr migraine and the euphoria that follows when it gets better... oh happy day!,  Facebook as another kind of church "whenever 3 or more of you are gathered in My name...",  My doctors and I belonging to the same "mutual appreciation society"... I love  them!, the movies "Julie And Julia" and "Little Miss Sunshine", looking forward to my next hug, my loving children and wearing clothes that say "come on paint! Come and get me!!!"

Remembering when "American Band Stand" and "Soul Train" used to be on the T.V. every Saturday morning, high tappin' Irish music, writing my thank you note of the day, Friday nights spent in front of the T.V. watching my pre recorded shows and reading to my hearts content, getting into a routine,  taking the time to eat outside,  and counting my blessings each night before I go to sleep.

Choosing to wake up in a good mood heading for my morning coffee,  daybreak,  showing my paintings at Perdue Jacksonville for the month of January,  New Years resolutions- they are great if I make them fun!  Chipping at my procrastination list,  lowering my steroids and being less hungry,  making my 'to do' list then knocking off 1/2 of them and "free shipping".

New beginnings,  multiple choice; a box of chocolates, fortune cookies, taking a different route, mixing up the schedule, choosing to have a positive attitude....  lying in my peaceful bedroom watching T.V. and thinking "I feel like I am in a luxury hotel room",  simple BBQ pork roast in the crock pot,  baking chocolate candy bar brownies to give away ( I ate one!),  patience with others- patience with myself,  and a humble pair of Keds tennis shoes.

Morning Glories blooming at the end of November,  The Christmas Choir movie,  sweet potato pecan bread,  slowing down to listen to the birds,  "I love you" texts from my daughter at 11:00 at night,  my new adorable sock monkey pajamas... thanks Michele,  playing Mannheim Steamroller on the piano first thing in the morning and having a game plan for the day.

Ah, the rustic aroma of burned cinnamon rolls in the morning,  catching the coffee pot before it overflowed,  if I complain I will remain... if I praise I will be raised.. beam me up Scotty!,  an itty bitty tiny green spider,  the movie "The Christmas Memory" with Patty Duke... most excellent,  remembering and being thankful for my past life as a choir director, worship leader and performer... it was like living a prayer,  my new Kodak Easy Share camera... it rocks!  and my sister Michele... she always has time to talk with me, even with five kids... she is a great multi-tasker.

Momentum,  self employment means no "Christmas bonus"... no wait...  MY LIFE is my "Christmas bonus"!  Amen?,  GETTING to choose what I wear, what I need,  my early morning commute... leave bedroom and go to my home studio,  no road rage.... unless my dog Panda cuts in front of my power  wheelchair,  leftover turkey and dressing sandwiches... and leftovers from my sister,  new designs and new pet series, a yard to enjoy and chocolate peppermint candy canes.

Unconditional gratitude,  lying on my bed on a Sunday afternoon listening to Handel's Messiah and smiling,  not being grateful and unhappy at the same time,  my bathroom scale breaking?,  fresh hot corn on the cob with a bit of butter and Lawry's Seasoned Salt,  "let me be the one out of ten healed lepers that returned to Jesus to say "thank you",  looking forward to the day ahead and going barefoot.

Rum raisin coffee creamer,  forgiving myself for my daily mistakes,  scanning and posting my paintings,  realizing that sometimes it's my attitude towards a problem that is the problem,  Haas avocados, being able to pay businesses like Pet Chauffeur to take Panda to the groomers and go to the library for me...  Thank you Linda!,  getting the mail and people to bake muffins for.

Celebrating today... tomorrow can take care of itself,  learning that it would take $20,000.00 to save my house... good to know where I stand,  going from stolen identity, sabotaged business, near death 2 1/2 month hospitalization this past summer to where I am today... and being a victor and not a victim, bratwurst with cranberry relish and honey mustard, clean blankets, towels and sheets,  a totally overhauled and organized kitchen pantry and donating 15 cans of canned peas and unadorned Christmas trees... sometimes, like us, they look better that way.

Learning to lean on other peoples faith as well as my own,  my comfy and familiar neon green lounger w/ the hoodie and embroidered beach chairs and blinging w/ sequins,  drawing pen and ink pet portraits while watching Christmas movies,  putting my feet up because they are too swollen to walk... hence the pet portraits, helping myself before I call on others, my new Whole Living magazine subscription,  and brushing my teeth.
