Teaching watercolor pencils to my art students using my own technique, a girls night out,  teaching Adele's "Someone Like You" music to my voice and piano students,  a tall glass of iced coffee, a new bunch of books from the library,  my children's happiness,  a weekend to play with the paint, sending flowers to someone special,  "getting over my sweet self"  and  making time for fun

Fresh baked double chocolate muffins for breakfast and to give to neighbors, watching kindness affect other people like a ripple effect in a pond reaching others then finally reaching back to us, watches that display the right time, sisters, taking the high road even if it means that I have to roll my wheelchair up another steep hill, a second cup of pumpkin cinnamon spice coffee, peace be still... tapping my inner quiet.

A worn Bible being even better than a worn pair of jeans,  a morning omelet with fresh asparagus, cilantro, onions, garlic, cheese and bacon on the side,  sleeping in... and waking up,  the wind blowing through the trees,  and Vanilla Fields perfume.

Choosing to be happy every exquisite hour of my day, playing the guitar and piano with dried paint on my fingers,having the courage to blow my own horn and market myself, God giving me two ears and only one mouth, putting pumpkin spice seasoning into my coffee grounds and pretty scarves.

Waking up in the morning and immediately saying aloud "I love my life" before any negative thoughts have a chance to register, new mum and sweet basil plants, cooking for others (she's back...), giving gifts, making do and making it better, a banana mandarin orange smoothie, and wearing the color orange.

As far as I know nobody ever died from a basket full of dirty laundry, painting "Florida Horizons", skipping the good stuff and going for a really good cup of coffee, my Monday art and piano lessons, coupons, new make up, cooler weather = longer sleeves = covering up my Lupus wounds and scars, God answering prayers when I even forgot to ask, and celebrating the day!

Ending the day reading on the back porch until it was too dark to see, "Her stories unfold like soft linen" a quote from "The Help", falling forward and taking risks, working out with weights while watching Joyce Meyer, being on the brink of happiness, strong enough to give myself a shower every day, and DRIVING!  When I am driving I am no longer disABLED but 'normal' just like everybody else.

A loaded baked potato, the gift of the novel "The Help" from a close friend that owns a kindle and thought of me, my sister Michele shopping at Wal Mart for me, a weekend with scheduled art and voice lessons, finally getting my filing done, playing the piano late into the night, and my new sculpted piano box given with love from one of my oldest favorite piano students.
