Living in Barstow California we were one of the lucky ones to experience the devastating earthquake.We were gripped in fear, darkness, and the crashing sounds of a "freight train". The only safe place in our government housing w/ a stud was at the front door so we huddled there. I was cold, in shock and forget about making conversation.  Above all of this roar my then 8 year daughter yelled "

HAS ANYBODY PRAYED YET?"

Out of the mouths of babes.

Godaddy has disabled my accounts but was happy to accept their payment last month.  They say that it should be repaired by today or Tuesday...  now how do I make a Grace Note out of this one?  Any ideas?  Enjoying coffee in a huge 44DD cup... size,  LOL!  "I am one of Gods masterpieces...  Masterpiece Theater that is... we all need a drama :)  My doctor and friend called me Friday night, phoned in a new antibiotic for a new chest cold, complimented me on my new paintings, told me that I was working too hard and take it easy on the weekend "pretend that your sick".  I didn't follow directions. Sometimes following my own advice is like swallowing a bitter pill. Why does God insist that I keep having to relearn my lessons.  Maybe He just wants to make sure that I keep showing up in class every day.

Embracing change when it's God's will... He is the potter, I am the clay, a sunny glass of orange juice,  sometimes "good enough" IS good enough,  extended injunctions,  quiet time first thing in the morning so that I can be nice the rest of the day,  getting over my sweet self,  and pounding out Jingle Bells on the piano.

Happy December First!  Let the festivus begin!  No wait, I already started... my medical supplies came! My medical supplies came!  I am thankful for my power wheelchair, independence,  baking cookies and then, um, eating them... a cold brisk sunny day, knowing that God's time is not my time. remembering people's birthdays, and finding a pen and paper when I need one.

Going to the Mayo Clinic today and meeting my new rheumatologist

 being told "Your kidneys failed and completely shut down and now months later they are completely normal.  There is no medical reasoning in that.  It's the grace of God and your positive attitude".  Go figure. So, do YOU believe in God?  Give it a try.  What do you have to lose... or gain?

Waiting on God so He can show me how strong I really am, be bopping down to CVS and Publix in my powered wheel chair, being overwhelmed by the love and support of my neighbors,fresh veggies; squash, asparagus, onions, mushrooms, garlic and rosemary to make a tortellini soup, playing guitar on the back patio on one of the most beautiful mornings of fall ever, and writing Grace Notes at 9:15 at night.

Donating 10% of all art profits to The Lupus Foundation Of Greater Florida... thanks art lovers!  Maybe with a cure I can stay out of hospitals...,  being too distracted by the multitudes of butterflies, hummingbirds and songbirds to do Bible study (a little A.D.D.), fiends fixing my mailbox and repairing my doorbell with a new one,  taking the time to send thank you notes, losing 10 pounds in the last three weeks  and brewing coffee just for me.

A loaded baked potato, the gift of the novel "The Help" from a close friend that owns a kindle and thought of me, my sister Michele shopping at Wal Mart for me, a weekend with scheduled art and voice lessons, finally getting my filing done, playing the piano late into the night, and my new sculpted piano box given with love from one of my oldest favorite piano students.

Rolling 30 minutes down to shop at Publix this morning in my power wheelchair, forgetting my wallet, going home to do it all again and choosing to enjoy it anyway, beautiful morning!, fixing myself a big Cesar's salad with roast beef for lunch, walking sticks hanging out on my living room window, House Beautiful magazines and my Sheltie, Panda, opening and closing doors for me with a happy bark! I bought him some new treats!
