THURSAY'S GRACE NOTES: PLEASE READ! This is the most important Grace Notes that I have ever written.

THURSDAY'S GRACE NOTES.  PLEASE READ!  This is the most important Grace Notes that I have ever written
After falling out of my wheel chair on Monday left with even more wounds and a damaged and wounded left eye I was given the facts of my diagnosis for the rest of my life due to my chronic wounds. I can not go to large populated events ever. My main heart breaker is church. In my powered wheel chair I can go to a large store, like Publix as long as I do not get close to many other people at the time. No body can visit me at my home if they are sick or have a family member that is sick.  I will be losing my house and, my car has been repossessed.  But this is when the weird thing comes in.  I am still "inappropriately happy" and still look forward to the next fun day.  I still have my art , music, and marketing "job" and totally "work" from home.and I still have people (yes even you)  and Jesus will never ever leave my side.  The most "horrible" things that I go through the more I can help others because I have gone through them myself.
So
I no longer celebrate the day I celebrate each minute.
So let's go out there and let's rock our world!
I love you all.

Nancy Asbell: Chronic Illness

Nancy Asbell: Chronic Illness
Because of the increased severity of my rheumatism I cannot hold or grasp many things.  Everything ends up on the floor usually broken.  I take time to nicely talk to myself "it's okay Nancy...  it really is okay.  And I go around the house several times a day with a reacher and calmly pick it all up, again.

Note to self;
If you need to do self directed rehab again do not begin in second grade level when you are really still in Kindergarten.      I'm just sayin'.

Moses Had An Aaron I had a Michele

Moses Had An Aaron I had a Michele
Michele and I were born 15 months apart. I was HER baby sister.  End of story. I had a disabling speech impediment. Often only she would know what I was trying to say.
God called Moses to lead His people. But God, I stutter!  So God gave Moses his brother Aaron. Moses soon found out that he could lead God's people all along.
As for me, I have learned that even I can become a motivational speaker for Epilepsy, strokes, Lupus, art/music marketing and positive living.  Moses, me, you...  God knows that we had it in us all along.

Chronic Illness Blog

Chronic Illness Blog
So... if you still have that cup of coffee,  I have decided to post a separate  Chronic Illness Blog.  I mean, really... somebody may enjoy my Grace Notes until they get a little too much TMI and are afraid that they may be asked to come over and massage my bunions LOL. In 2005 I dedicated to God my art career to Him to advocate for Lupus awareness and the rest... financial security, up to Him.  That hasn't changed.  But the real days ins and days oust of living the life of pain just may be too much and can be more addressed through Chronic Illness.  And accesss to my personel email and other social sites.  What do you think!

Monday"s Grace Notes "Happiness"

Monday"s Grace Notes
"Happiness"
Happiness can be found sipping a fine white wine on a balcony overlooking a vineyard in Italy.  Happiness can be found drinking a cup of Folgers Coffee on the back cement stoop of a mobile home.  Happiness can be found in a prison, a woman's shelter, and ICU units when they tell you that they will have to amputate your legs in the morning and you probably not live.  Happiness can be found when a woman can slide out of her own bed, into her wheelchair to live an independent day in her own home and begin to celebrate yet one more day.
I have found happiness...
and it has found me.

Acts Of Love

Acts Of Love
My daughter -in-LOVE took Friday off of work,  went to Winn-Dixie for me, then the library, then to me to get my coupons, then spent two hours at Publix. Why so long?  She carefully made sure that everything was low in salt, preservatives and a good deal even buying easy opening cans for my arthritis.  Once home  she put away my groceries "Martha Stuart Style".  She then scrubbed and cleaned and organized my kitchen and emptied the dishwasher.   All the while she acted like it was just a joy to spend time with me, not a burden.
She took care of me.
She really took care of me.
I didn't get to pick my daughter in law,  but God did.

Sunday's Grace Notes

Sunday's Grace Notes
Having "church" at Publix... a nice lady said today "you must be a Christian.  Your happy face just glows"...  go Jesus!  Seeing the funny side of things,  thinking big,  feathering my nest... I love feathers,  remembering how I used to love being able to iron,  the eye drops for my glaucoma that make my eyelashes long,  having too many things to be thankful for to post in one day.

Tuesday's Grace Notes

Tuesday's Grace Notes
Fresh baked double chocolate muffins for breakfast and to give to neighbors, watching kindness affect other people like a ripple effect in a pond reaching others then finally reaching back to us, watches that display the right time, sisters, taking the high road even if it means that I have to roll my wheelchair up another steep hill, a second cup of pumpkin cinnamon spice coffee, peace be still... tapping my inner quiet.

I am alive!

I am alive!
I am alive to celebrate another Christmas.  Another celebration of our savior's birth, another December to love and to be loved.  Another chance to live a New Year. My doctors, family, even myself, didn't fully expect me to be alive today, but Jesus did. December is not enough month to rejoice.  This year, for me, Christmas begins on November 15th. I have already cheated...  I have broken out my first Christmas mug.

Tuesday's Grace Notes

Tuesday's Grace Notes
Going to the Mayo Clinic today and meeting my new rheumatologist
being told "Your kidneys failed and completely shut down and now months later they are completely normal.  There is no medical reasoning in that.  It's the grace of God and your positive attitude".  Go figure. So, do YOU believe in God?  Give it a try.  What do you have to lose... or gain?

A worn Bible being even better than a worn pair of jeans,  a morning omelet with fresh asparagus, cilantro, onions, garlic, cheese and bacon on the side,  sleeping in... and waking up,  the wind blowing through the trees,  and Vanilla Fields perfume.

Up Thoughts "Fake it 'til you make it!"

Repeat after me, "I love my life."  Speak it and believe several times a day.  You are what you think.

Monday's Grace Notes

Monday's Grace Notes
Donating 10% of all art profits to The Lupus Foundation Of Greater Florida... thanks art lovers!  Maybe with a cure I can stay out of hospitals...,  being too distracted by the multitudes of butterflies, hummingbirds and songbirds to do Bible study (a little A.D.D.), fiends fixing my mailbox and repairing my doorbell with a new one,  taking the time to send thank you notes, losing 10 pounds in the last three weeks  and brewing coffee just for me.
