Thursday's Grace Notes

Thursday's Grace Notes
Not being afraid of getting out of the boat and walk on water... as long as I don't have to wear a bathing suit, exercising more and sleeping better, losing more weight by eating more... fresh fruits and vegetables and protein, Wayne Dyers book "Excuses Be Gone!", turquoise blue and chocolate brown, shipping paintings directly from my home, and November 3, 2011...

Friday's Grace Notes

Friday's Grace Notes
Porcelain roosters, changing light bulbs, leftovers, being strong enough to sit AND get up from the couch,  reading the Oprah magazine, my new camera... Yay!, finding old music CD's, a comfortable pair of jeans, wearing brown and orange,  and scrambled eggs w/ fresh spinach, red onions, garlic, w/ toast of whole grain bread.

Monday's Grace Notes

Monday's Grace Notes
Talking to my daughter on the phone, hurting my foot but not breaking it, "living large" and I don't mean my dress size, artists supporting other artists... there is always enough to go around, finishing my "Rainbow Palms" painting, cuddly buggly doggies, my art studio, AKA "toy room, The Los Angeles Guitar Quartet, and buying shoes on line.

Thursdays Grace Notes

Thursday's Grace Notes
After 2 and 1/2 months in the hospital I am finally HOME!, my garden... a profusion of butterflies, hummingbirds, skinks, birds, blooms and flowers, the loving kindness of Steve and Jennifer taking care of me, my own peaceful bed and garden view, sitting here in my music studio with my computer, home health coming to my house, having my old Panda Puppy back and staying strong in Jesus.

Monday's Grace Notes

Monday's Grace Notes
Painting roosters, the new show "For Rent" on HGTV... realistic for today's economy, choosing raw baby carrots over peanut M & M's, lots of ice and lots of sugar free soda, the new page "You Know You're From Gainesville Florida If....."  So much fun!!, saving things to paint to my desktop and accepting my new "friends" diabetes, a blood clot, damaged kidneys and active vasculitis... time to put my "big girl underwear on!"
Celebrate the day!  I'm glad to still be here!

Tuesday's Grace Notes

A day in the rehab center/nursing home

Today I painted 25 5x7 watercolor note cards for a show in downtown Jax... all cupcakes. I did about 15 pen and ink palm tree drawings, played piano, played guitar and have plans to do the same. tomorrow. I pass out simple cards and the other roomies love them. One said today "Well damn!" I wanted to say "no shit!". Life is fun. I talk to stroke victims and tell them as they drool "I know you are in there. I've been there. I understand". And they do. I hold hands, stroke hair and open milk cartons. I'm supposed to be here. Seven weeks guys..... I miss my home but it's here for now. Hey, I paint and they bring me food. How cool is that?

Celebrate the day... not the Celebrex

Celebrate the day... not the Celebrex

Five percent of patients who take celebrex run the risk of kidney damage.  Lucky me.  I'm one of the five percent.  Now I can no longer take pain medicine and any meds for my rheumatoid arthritis. Ow.
