Trying to live out my full potential (man, this is exhausting!),chocolate protein powder, bad dreams that you can wake up from, pots of flowering mums, my son taking my dog to the vet, 15... yes 15... new books from the library and the friend that brings them to me :) the cooler side of the bed and the show "Mad Hungry" on the Hallmark Channel.

Getting up on the right side of the bed, dried cranberries with my cereal, blueberry creme coffee... different but good, playing with markers, another new art student today, greeting the day, neck roll pillows, discovering that I've gained weight and taking responsibility for it, Halloween decorations and a re-arranged back porch.

Spilling coffee on myself, again... hey in all things give thanks, right?, a full pantry and a stocked fridge, celebrating the success of others, playing and singing "The Piano Man" on of course the piano, being able to sit in normal chairs while I'm painting and... returning to myself.

Visiting with neighbors, going to St Augustine, using my rolator walker, sleeping through the night, a new pair of jeans, reading "Eat This Don't Eat That" cookbooks, printing out coupons, being able to get in and out of chairs and cars, sending cards to piano students and a humble bowl of Raisin Bran cereal.

Each day is a new canvas to paint on, calling old friends to reconnect, my DVR recording all of my favorite shows, my new 'watercolor table' set up with tubes of paint, watercolor pencils, colored pencils and favorite pens... creativity at the ready and having no where else to go but up figuratively and spiritually.

It's Saturday!, thunderstorms, lights going out... and then back on, making my house "purdy", ordering new canvases on line, forgiving myself... forgiving others, antibiotics, Dr.'s and nurses calling me frequently at home to check on me and giving me their private phone #'s (how's that for caring), a profusion of Cardinals, and getting hugs.

Being 49 and having the rest of my life ahead of me, a profusion of passion flowers and morning glories, having Steve and Jennifer over for rosemary and garlic roasted pork, daily renewing my mind... now what was I thinking again?, my adult children and their chosen careers mirroring what is important in their lives and praising God for this day no matter what it throws my way.

Playing the piano first thing in the morning even before washing the sleepies out of my eyes, having the freedom to choose, getting together with old friends, a good nights rest, being outside more, the warmth of the sun hitting the left side of my face, the smell of vanilla body wash, my sheltie and all of his 'lovey toys' and my out of control pumpkin vine with it's gigantic yellow orange blossoms.
